How and what have you done to stoo the bloody tyres wearing fast on the inside?

Got the wheels alligned, think this may have helped, but not cured the problem.

have been suggested bolts which the a ridge in which then can mean the camber will be adjusted, like below:

This seems a good option, however havn't herd of anybody using them...

Surley not everybody has this issue!

They wont work, as the shock goes onto the hub and the bolt just secures it. As far as I know the only was to adjust camber on Mk4's would be through adjustable topmounts, but that would be custom jobbies

My Fabia had Cupra bushes, fully Powerflex'd and lowered 100mm or so, aligned perfectly, still chewed inside edge of tyres, to much negative camber.

Oooo £8 nice!!

Fitting? guess that will be a fair wack.

think i got quoted £70 plus vat at the dealers.......60 - 90 min job apparently, but they got special tools for the job ;)

me and a mate did mine, but ended up taking the part that the bush locates into off the car then pressed the new bush in using a vice.
there was a guide a while ago that detailed how to do it at home and what kit you'll need, have a search ;)

to be honest, if it is £70 for the dealer to do it, i'd let them at that price!
its hardly the weather / best time of year for crawling under cars

fronts not adjustable they are on the mk3's

This is the kind of problem i was talking about on the coilover thread. Because by lowering you've increased the static camber, the contact patch no longer sits at the correct angle - even more so if you've fitted lower profile and / or wider tyres. What you should do is have the strut top mounts cut out and new plates welded on to give you the correct geometry. (tho if you're doing this you'd retrofit an adjustable top mount) Since most people can't be bothered you normally increase the toe-in which reduces your steering response. You could reduce the toe-in at the back to compensate but that gives stability issues.

The problems of doing half a job....

As i've said before, i blame the industry for selling these kits to people without informing them that other mods sould also be done to keep everything working properly.

Don't believe the sales pap!
