Ah nuts. Just ordered one of these. Was the only place who could get me one quick enough for the car going in for some work. Heard about them not being the best fit but that's something else.

I couldn't find a Badger5 one for my auq when I was looking. Just cupra R from Badger5

Mines been on for well over a year now and it was s/h mine doesn't look like this

+1 mine too.

Tbf something doesn't seem right about this  It's the only Tip I have seen end up like that from C.M everyone had a little moan about fitting but tbf 99% of these run ok after being fitted properly.Hopefully your just unlucky bud but don't right them off yet as they have offered a replacement which alot of companys wouldnt be so forthcoming.

I emailed them and explained and sent the photo and they said they will send a replacement on receiving mine back, problem is I don't have the original and I can't have the car off the road yet :(

Wouldn't a replacement just do the same thing though. You'll find yourself back here again, I thought SFS weren't that great but that's clearly not up to standards

By the looks of it its just a one off problem but on mine you can actually see the fibre material between layers through the redsilicone at the top, really poor :( and what looks like red tape is actually the silicone unbonding from the layers

These are manufactured in the hundreds and this is the first time i have ever seen one collapse like that, keep us informed :)

Andy the link didn't work but is be interested to see the comparison! I'm not writing off CM but I think people deserve to see what happens to a defective item, especially in relation to it being attatched to one of the most important parts of the engine.

Iv also had my CM one on for nearly a year with no problems. Just one of the dodgy ones off the production line you got there
