Yeah, we know they exist, but the thread starter was asking a completely different question.
For those running LED sidelights & resistors

Also, people loaded the circuit before these new LED arose, Thats why i loaded my circuit, as at the time it was the only way.

And your limited with the bulbs too. My LED's have 15 small SMD in them, making them pretty bright.

Thanks to OLDOILER & ross27!
I have now got rid of the resistor & wired in a bulb holder in it's place.
I wasn't happy with the extreme heat that the resistor was producing. Even if I had zip tied it to the inner wing, I would have still worried about it.

So my next question is - The LED sidelight is rated at 1.5W. Do I use a 5W bulb in the extra bulb holder?

Tested a 5W bulb in the new holder along with the LED:-

I just threw in the standard 5w (T10?) bulbs.
I think the extra power consumption of the LED's is un detectable by the Bulb Check.

Also, as people with LED's have found, when you turn on the ignition, you will notice your LED's to flash about 4 times each. Thought to be the bulb check feature testing the circuits. So dont panic!

Led running lights.

Just got a MY2011 with option to switch daylight running light on or off. But very yellow compared with the Bixeonons. Have fitted the Led parking lights, appeared bit big initially but after a bit of shaving fitted ok.. Wonder if these could be adapted to fit in the
running light holders and not show a fault.. Any info appreciated..
Jake.

I have found some can-bus compatible 382 type LED bulbs which work well, after trying many others that didn't. See this thread for info and pics:
