Can you tell me what model HU that is?
The seperate box is the sat nav is it?
The DVD is built in to the head unit?
How easy was it to fit?

Did you guys - Tom/Russ have a 12 or 6 disc changer ? Wondering if the 12 disc wil fit in the glovebox .......

Yes, the 12 disc fits in the glovebox and if anyone says it doesnt (i.e stereo shops who have no idea what the LCR even is!!!), show them these:

how do you find the unit as i am confused as what to do about navigation and a screen as i have all seperates at the moment and would like to combine them all

Its very good and the bling factor is huge!!!

Bottom of the front panel is removable and looks like this

Also has a red flashing LED behind it

oh rite that looks sweet
sticks out a bit which is what i was worried about as it is still visable as a screen to the light fingered scum around here

at the moment im looking for something new as i have a panasonic screen but want navigation too looking at this at the moment

Errr, no idea i'm afraid!!

Fitted it a long time ago, hell I even sold the Cupra R back in November and chucked the headunit into my new Evo 8!

Search for 'speed pulse' found this....

The speed pulse is on pin1 of the ISO block for the stereo... There is a pinout on icecavern...

On a similar note there is a new disc being released soon for the X1/X1R, its the 2006 disc you get with the new X1BT model. Pioneer say August ...

Yeah got my X1 today and i've wired it in but it doesn't work??? the screen comes out and all the buttons light up but thats it the screen doesnt work or the little screen on the top doesnt either help??

It sounds biffed! unless the wiring from the car, to the unit isn't playing the game
