Hi Folks,

Ok so I'm on the lookout for a decent set of HIDs. I had them on my old Octavia vRS and the standard lights in the Leon are quite poor.

I want some 6000k HiDs obviously canbus free but any that you guys have that you can recommend for me please?

Thanks

Hi Luke. I have 6000k HID's in mine and look quality.

Get the terminator H7R kits off HID's direct, alot of people on here use them and I've not had any problems so far!!

I mounted them on the side as you can see. However it does affect radio signal when switched on. There was a thread a while back about somebody fixing this problem however if you don't mount them straight onto metal I have been told this stops the interference aswell.

They're £57 from HIDs Direct. I mounted mine on the plastic next to the light cover with sticky pads. Still get interference even on plastic though.

Well, mounting the HID ballast to metal seems to worsen the Radio's signal and create a big interference, whereas mounting it to plastic seems to be less of a hassle when it comes to that. Mine are mounted in the same place as olitaylor, although under that metal part not above it (so as to not get water on it like taylor's :p) lol.

Actually I'd order them off ebay then you're paypal protected etc. You can still choose colour temp off ebay if you read the description it says specify colour temp or you will be sent 6000K as default.

But yeah, the terminator kit is the one to go for.

No problem at all. When you are placing the HID bulb inside its housing, make sure you position it correctly and close the holder on it so it wouldn't move and for the alignment to be correct.
