forge 008 dump valve

Hi just had a forge 008 dump valve fitted I was expecting that dump valve sound but it's really quiet I have 2 springs in the kit which do I use

Is your car standard? If it's standard then use the green spring, If it's been mapped then use the yellow one

It won't make the typical whoosh because it's a recirculating valve not an atmospheric :)

Bit unhappy with that I only bought it because I thought it would have that distinctive sound could I not put one of the other springs in I have yellow and blue would that make any difference if not can u recommend a dump valve for my car that gives sound plz oh and it is standard

To be honest mate the Forge 008 DV is quite possibly the best dv you can get for these cars.

If you want an increase in the sound as it dumps then buy yourself a cone filter to go with it.

As already mentioned before you can get other dump valves which are atmospheric but because these cars use recirculation instead of venting to air you can give yourself problems with Limp Mode etc

As for the spring whatever you do DO NOT put a stiffer spring in unless the car's mapped.
If you do then the valve won't work properly as there won't be enough pressure to open the valve so you'll cause yourself more problems and potentially damage your turbo
