Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my Cupra Formentor VZ 2.0 TSI (245 HP).
Today I went to the store, and when I came back and started the car, the RPMs suddenly went up, the engine sounded muffled/restricted, all the warning lights came on, and the car went into safe mode.
I connected a cheap OBD scanner and got error code P2101 (see picture below).
The exact same thing happened last week. I took the car to a mechanic, and he cleaned the throttle body, checked the pipe connections, and test drove the car. After that, the engine was running perfectly.
Today, when the problem happened again, I waited about an hour and then started the car. There were no errors, the engine runs perfectly, and everything seems fine.
Obviously, I’m worried this will happen again.
Has anyone experienced this issue or found a permanent solution?
