Formentor on Dyno run

Hi all,

new 310 VZ2 owner after I get bored of my BMW X2 M35i and wanting to scratch the itch of finding out how much power I'm actually producing.

I have a local VAG tuner with a 4wd rolling road and popped in today to book in for a dyno run, they've never done the Formentor before and are unsure how it will go as the rear diff is different to the Audi S3 / Mk 7 Golf R (they've had issues with the diff on the Mk 8 Golf R).

Has anyone else tried and experienced this before or are aware of any issues?

Only the Golf 8 R (and Audi RS3 8y) has the new torque vectoring Magna diff.

Formentor VZ / 310 still uses the trusty Haldex, with exception for the VZ5.

Had my VZ3 mapped on a dyno....now at 396bhp and better MPG. No issues at all doing it or running it so far.....been running it 4 months

On a motorway run of about 50 - 60 miles sticking to the speed limit and economy setting 41-42mpg, before the remap it struggle to get high 30's.

which remap did you buy? is it custom made?

That's a good improvement. It is a struggle to get over 40mpg with the 310 engine in the Formentor. Have you done any 0-60 runs?

Not timed but much sharper response and acceleration (it's now 396 BHP ?)

Did you get the gearbox mapped as well?

Frustratingly I couldn't get mine done in the end as it wasn't a linked Dyno, those stock figures really want me to find out what mines producing.

Unfortunately the gearbox is locked out but he is going to contact me when its available....they are a VAG specialist, saying that previously they did my BMW, Jaguar and Mitsubishi!

Hi. I tried to get my VZ2 310 (2021) stage 1 remapped but the chap couldn't do it using Alientech equipment. He was surprised that he couldn't do it, since the engine is pretty common. I would greatly appreciate some recommendations, preferably in the Wiltshire area. Many thanks. Chaz.
