Hello there,

I hope I am not violating any rules by posting here? :banned: If I am I apologise and I will fill my 10 meaningful posts in elsewhere.

Right to the point. I think most will agree that the shifting on the FR is amazing, it's quick, short and almost slots into place. The Leon Cupra on the other hand is long, high and just doesn't feel as fast or as smooth. Is it possible to change the gear knob and gaitor on the Cupra MK1 to the FR version? I have seen the FR Gear knob on ebay and there are the odd gaitors for sale too. How effective will this be? Even half way there suggestions could do as I can't seem to find any info on doing this at all. So any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Many thanks guys,
Look forward to hearing from ya'all.

Also anyone in the Milton Keynes area that might be willing to assist with the change as from what I've read it's not going to be simple?

Appreciate the info! Still want to change the gear knob for the FR version it just feels nicer. Anyone ever done this or know the procedure involved? I will defo consider the DIY guide thanks again.
