Looking for instructions or a video on how to remove this panel for painting. Seen alot of FR's going about with this done and it makes the car look better.

I would upload a picture of the exact part but it won't let me as I'm still a newbie :(.

I did this last week with masking tape and plasti dip (£15 spray can from Amazon). Take your time masking up and layer the plasti dip up gradually, i got about 7 layers.

This is also reversible by peeling off the plasti dip if you mess anything up. Check out plasti dip videos on youtube for tips. You can easily do the grille, number plate surround and rear Leon badge with one can.

Again I can't post links either yet so remove the space after the forward slashes https:// goo.gl/photos/vR4aGYVYCXFqt4G78

Thanks mate, I've seen a few plasti dip videos recently seems like a good safe idea. I wasn't sure if the panel could be removed or just painted whilst still attached. Looks like I've got a busy weekend :)

Cheers again :)

No worries, it will take an hour or so to mask then an hour and a half to paint. Make sure to wait around 10 - 15 mins between each coat. £15 well spent. Good luck

Standard from the factory on the Cupra, but unfortunately not on the FR :(

If I remember correctly, take the reg plate off. Then there's 4 or so bolts underneath holding it.

This is the bit your talking about?
