FR TDI & FR 1.8T Silencers

Someone could tell me if is possible to install a FR TDi Silencer into a FR 1.8T??


I mean, will fit without a problem?

Why one earth would you want to do that ?. What's wrong with the twin tailpipe look. Am not sure, but it might mess your backpressure up.

You don't need backpressure on a turbo engine.
The turbo has already enough backpressure on its own.

Hehehe I knew that this could sound like a weird question.

The situation is that I am looking for a Remus silencer, and the only have application, for 1.9 TDi, 1.4 1.2, this for the 6L version.

Nothing for the 1.8T engines.


This is the FR 1.8T Silencer

This is the FR TDi Silencer

As you can see, they are quite different the 1.8T is like a circle, the TDi is like a square.

The hieght for the 1.8T is 19 cm. And I want to know how much is the height for the TDi one. (Red line). In the best of the case, know if will fit without problems.

There is a 5 extra cm in the car silencer space.


So the best question is.

Will the TDI, not FR, silencer will fit in a 1.8T?

Erm well Mr spark, not being a big fan of tdi's. I would not know if the fr tdi has the same tailpipe design as the 20vt !! .

From the outside you can't see the difference between the FR 1.8T & the FR 1.9tdi except from the badge and the soot of the tdi
