Hey all, in two hours my car is going to get its phase one custom code remap. (FR TDi 150). Its getting done at JBS Auto Designs in Chesterfield. Just wondered what kind of power/torque I should be expecting and what the difference actually feels like? Never had a car mapped before... Thanks :)

The difference is night and day!

Extra 40-50bhp!!

I've been driving my 65bhp work van all week! Hopped in mine last night and felt like a ferrari lol

Seems most maps whether custom or generic hit 190-199 hp, torque is also important.

Looking thru the site seems a custom map can last on a standard clutch Wheras generic maps seem to cause slip as soon ad straight away.

Had mine done 5yrs ago, my standard clutch lasted 2,000 miles i then fitted a sachs clutch kit,5 yrs on & 60,000miles not a clitch! One thing mind the cluch pedal is alot heavier due to the sachs sports clutch.

Uprated clutch?

Drive it hard either custom map or generic will pull the clutch out in no time with the added torque my audi lasted around 2000 miles also, you just learn not to right foot it in high gears low rpm this will help the time of the clutch... All the generic maps I've had have all been very aggressive in my opinion
