Just noticed that the Freetrack is no longer listed on the seat.co.uk website. Anyone know any more about this?

Matt.

Maybe cause its ugly as fook and the people in Britain and Ireland aren't fooled by it and it didn't sell well.
There's soon to be and ordinary Altea XL 4wd. Its already in Spain...

Not gone, just hidden away:

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they stopped supplying it in the UK market. SEAT never seemed to fully commit the Freetrack to the UK market - I'm sure far greater sales would have been achieved if SEAT hadn't adopted a zero marketing and promotional campaign for it.
If they'd put a fraction of the budget that Nissan used for their Qashqai into promoting the Freetrack there'd be far more of them on the roads here.

I would imagine they are updating the site for the revised model with the Common Rail. I think they are dropping the petrol version.

The freetrack is a great car, and very underated.

Still gone! Anyone know what's happening?

Is it dropped from the UK range?

Indeed, its a great alternative for people that need part time 4x4, dont want to spend the daft money a CRV requires for the same spec and is probably a better all round car... albeit... may not be worth as much after 4 years.. but hey... all cars are a waste of money !

For an all round family car with Rear DVD, 4x4, economy, performance, flexibility, space and fun.. it cant be beaten..

Great car.... vastly under-rated.

Only 26 in dealer stock... and judging by the miles I'll wager they're all the enforced ex demo's

Never a big seller, clever idea but just a bit too niche

Hmmmm...

Thinks..... "Advertising" comes to mind....

They could have sold heaps more if they actually advertised it and let the world know a bit more about it.

Even the stealers have said the same... Not been a big seller and never really understood why as with the right advertising could have sold loads...

Its just like a VW Touran... but...

Freetrack is faster, not quite as economical, better looking, more fun and more flexible.

Have driven a touran and was impressed with economy.... but er.... thats it....

Yes I am a bit bias !! ;-)

Funnily enough... the Touran lot... reckon they want 4motion on the next Touran... just buy a Freetrack? its all part of the VAG group anyway !!

SEAT UK are no longer importing Freetracks, not a great seller as has been previously stated in this thread. Which is a shame as it's actually a pretty good car, much better than a lot of 'soft-roaders' (Toyota Rav-4 I am talking to you).
I know of a company car driver, does over 30K miles a year and has a Freetrack...with a petrol engine!! His last car was a Scooby WRX and he reckons the Freetrack is just a much fun but much more comfortable and economical.

I've just bought a freetrack Tdi major saving with only 9K on the clock, however you can't get over the fact its ugly from the front. while i've been looking i found a white petrol with a set of bullbars on the front, and it looked lovely, the seat garage is looking into where i can get them from as it was on their forecourt where i saw it but has anyone here seen them or know where i can find them?

Can only be as the Tribu is on the way so there would be an internal clash with the 2 models? I'm impressed by the Tiguan and very impressed by the Yeti so cant wait to see SEATs version. Might be the car to finally drag me out of my Altea after 5 very happy years.
