I have a body shop putting a facelift bumper and bonnet onto my pre-facelift car. I’ve done my research and know it fits but the shop is struggling to attach it to the wings once the bottom is on.

Any one have any advice? I would have thought wings first then attach the rest but this is the first time I’ve played with the bumper

I was under the impression the headlights also need changing when dong this swap but I’m sure someone else will confirm.

I spoke to someone who has done the change and they confirmed that the headlights were fine but I guess you never know

That’s good to know and was what put me off doing something similar.
I’m guessing you are using salvaged parts so I wonder if the bumper is deformed enough to affect fitting.

Both parts are aftermarket and are based of the correct part code so a difficult one, I’m going to the shop later so will let you know how it gets on

After market parts hardly ever fit correctly without some work even down to a simple rear spoiler needing trimming. I hope you get it sorted and pop some pics here when you do.

Hello, so I dont make another topic, can someone tell me de OEM code for the Leon 5F bumper 2012/2016?
Thank you very much!

Have a look here:

Also, it depends which model/options:

Standard
FR
Cupra

Plus, headlight washer/non-headlight washer.

You will also need to consider the grilles (front assist / non-front assist), badges, headlight washers etc.

Did you get this job done and did you change the headlights in the end or was it ok with just bumper and bonnet?

All sorted, fitment was superb, did not need to change the headlights, was just bumper, bonnet and grills, entire job including spraying cost £1,500 so probably not worth it looking back but ah well
