mike, tbh your comments are all valid, but to you, you want comfort right?

others might want fastroad/track cars, so the powerflex etc are perfect for them :)

If i was buliding a track car I still wouldnt use the powerflex rear wishbone mounts. I'd use spherical bearings for the rear wishbone mounts.

The poly rubber is just way too stiff. Meaning the wishbone is way to hard to move up and down through it travel even without springs and shocks fitted. The wishbone isn't meant to be taking the road loads in the vertical direction.

The cheaper LCR bush is a better "performance" alternative in my eyes if you don't want to go all out spherical bearings.

I do agree, I would be going for LCR bush, but IMO if it was just for track, would go for powerflex, and if you been in my old ibiza, you'd see how "firm" the suspension alone was, trust me the bushes were the least of your worries :p lol (love cocking its leg in tight corners :p)

You also need to take into account LCR wishbones are completely different and bushes adjusted accordingly
Different ARB mounting points, different front geometry running the wishbones flatter and they are cast
I have rebushed sets of these in poly and OE (hence the guide in the sig) and personally found poly felt sharper without killing comfort but this is on a LCR, the ibiza could react differently being uprated

I'd like to do some load testing on a polybushed wishbone to see how much diffrently it bends. It could lead to some interesting toe/camber change in bump if they are as stiff as I think they are.

To be fair the average track dayer isn't going to notice it too much. My engineering mind is proabably going to far into this for most people but I just think sometimes these mods need more thought before just sticking them on.

i wonder what difference tubular arms would make ?

bit of weight saved i guess (2kg ?) + be able to design in some adjusters i guess

2kgs of unsprung weight = 20KGS of sprung weight!

i got mine from rally design its an OMP jobby fits like a glove

and it means you can put the power down out of a corner :)

You can't call wishbones purely sprung or unsprung weight. There a mix of the two.

I don't like the polybushes on the rear of these style wishbones. The poly is just to hard and doesn't flex like the original is designed too. Whoever designed them obvioussly wasn't thinking about how the wishbone was designed to move. It either needs a spherical bearing or as you say an lcr style full rubber mount.

They are definately rock hard mate, when i jack up the car, there is hardly any drop on the leg, almost as if the whole suspension leg is being foced upwards if you understand what i mean.

fitting them wishbones to the car was a real Pain and needed four of us!!
can feel every bump on the road, whether its a crack or crater!!

getting fed of them now with the state the roads are in, going to change back to LCR bushes for the back- i assume these fit dont they as i recall another thread somewhere
