Front mounted intercoolers

Do they make any difference on a road car?
Got a remapped Cupra r. Only stage one but not that bothered about going to stage 2.
I just want to improve on what ive got.
Is the standard set up capable of keeping the air cool or is a front mounted item the way to go?

You have 2 front mount intercoolers as stock. People call them side mount but they are at the front of the car.

the stock intercoolers are sufficient at stage 1 on a road car. Don’t bother

And are there any alternatives meaning if i can put some other cars intercooler on leon 20vt ?
I know most people buy bolt kn parts but its nkt easy to wait long time to arrive ib my country so i would like to try to fit some alternative

An intercooler is just some metal. Its the size that matters and design I guess for all the airtech people out there.
