Front Parking Sensor

Hi all,

my front centre (passenger side) parking sensor is playing about on my. Every time I slow down it goes off like crazy thinking there is something I'm about to hit when there is nothing in front of me.

Have any of you experienced this? Or do any of you know what's wrong with it??

It happens every once in a while, not frequently enough to be a problem - it makes me look up and double check

Is it in traffic? Because the Leon's sensors come on automatically at low speed, I think if there are other cars in front that do the same, they can pick that "beam" up as an object that's really close.

Is the sensor clean?

Both me and my wife have MK3 Leon's (Cupra and FR) with parking sensors. We have both had this problem when the cars were ridiculously filthy. Gave all of the sensors a wipe - Sorted!

I have tried cleaning the sensor and all, it still continue to do it. Any other suggestions?

Same thing happened to me a couple of times in slow moving traffic. Seemed like once it had been triggered once it was wide awake and keen to go off again. After getting back up to normal speed it was fine again.

Certain Fords tend to set mine of in traffic. Must be a clash of frequencies.
