Front upper strut brace

Good morning all

I've an OMP front upper strut brace coming for my LC, having read through the fitting guides I see no mention as to whether the strut brace is fitted whilst the car is on the ground, or whether it is jacked up to take the weight off the suspension

Those having already fitted one, what did you do?

Fitted with the car on the grond, easier if you take the bonnet strut off and hold the bonnet open with a piece of wood

Thinking on, you'd be best off with the car sat on level ground too.

When i fitted my S3 upper i drilled the holes and put the first bolt in either side while the car was on the ground,

But had to jack it up to get the other 2 each side bolts in as there is no room to do it with car sat on the ground and suspension compressed..

If you put the front on axle stands level each side, that should give you enough clearence to get your hand under the wing.
