Fuel cap release queery

Can you physically see the release pin move when the flap is open and the button pressed?

No. I cant on mine anyway.

It makes the opening noise, but i cant see anything moving. There is a little play maybe in the catch when the button is pressed but only very little.
You having problems?

I have a new flap as the holding clip was broke, didn't want to fit it to find I'd get problems opening it
