Fuel Consumption 1.0mpi

I have a 1998 3dr 1.0mpi Ibiza, it gives very good fuel economy but i was wondering, if i was to remove the rear seats would it give better fuel economy - especially on motorway runs or would it not be noticible?

I removed my backseats for a while and it made no difference.

And i also spun the car on a roundabout which i think the removal of the back seats may have contributed too! They were swiftly put back in!
