Fuel economy or just me?

It seems that since my car has had it's 10k service (500 miles ago) the fuel economy has dropped to 48mpg according to the trip. Before the service it was returning 50 to 55 on every tankful?

Is this likely to be the new things bedding in or just the fact that I'm driving it harder without really realising it? Time for a remap?

oh - 10k service, you need a remap

They should offer a remap with every service

Usual garage? I have had economy drop off over a tank before. I always try to fill up at the same garage but yet sometimes one tank will average 52mpg and another will do 46mpg...

Yeah it's the same garage - always seem to fill up at the same garage!

Just filled up and it seems that the trip computer is lying to me! Worked it out on the calculator and I got 52mpg, the trip is only reading 49... lol Have reset the trip computer again so will see what we get on the next tankful

Same here

i have just had my 10,000 service and have noticed a drop in mpg eg. when in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear accelerating the mpg goes lower than before i got it serviced. 1st says 8 mpg 2nd says 12mpg and 3rd says 18mpg.
what do you people average when in 3rd gear 2.500 revs?
