Fuel Gauge stopped working?

Hi.
My Mk4 Leon’s fuel gauge seems to have stopped working. Was reading full, drove 100 miles and still reads full. After putting a couple of gallons of unleaded in the gauge hasn’t moved and interestingly the distance since last refuel hasn’t reset implying it doesn’t know it has been filled.
Not very convenient with current fuel supply issues in UK.
Any thoughts, or is this definitely a trip to the dealer?

How is that normal? Didn’t used to happen. Makes the whole range to go useless too as that is no longer changing

Had seat courtesy cars and put a couple of gallons in and not registered or cleared the low fuel light.

Of course it did, you just never noticed it before.

Take the car to your Garage and ask them to diag it before you run out of fuel if your saying the gauge isn’t working. No other way round it. It’s a easy fix to replace the sender IF it is that. Hard to tell without looking at it.

Usually takes a while to drop from full tank then by time you on 1/2 a tank it drops like a stone

Depending on journey, speed and load, I can cover up to150 miles on full...and it still reads full (Mk3.5), the top bar hasn't dropped off yet. Down to Kent and back wed/thu achieved 59.7 mpg.

I can do lot of miles before the first light goes out and have a lot of miles on the trip before the range starts to drop, 100 is sort of normal.

Also depends on the shape of the tank before the fuel sender is picking it up.

I am experiencing the same issue with mine. Picked it up on weds and filled it up from halfway, so I know it works, but my range and level haven't changed despite putting a couple of hundred km on if.

I'll be the only person that will be happy to see their fuel level go down!!

It's perfectly normal behaviour. Use it to your benefit with any hire car

MK4 2023 with 80kklms . Same here and it’s random. Sometimes it reflects very soon afterwards like 50 kms . This week filled it and I’ve done 250 kms so far and full . When it should be 1/4 tank gone .
