Fuel Hose

Hi. A hole has worn into one of the fuel hoses in my R reg 1.4 SXE.

Can anyone direct me to where to get a replacement? What size/diameter do I need?

which hose is it mate??? if its a plastic ope it mite be better to get a replacement one from Seat.

Managed to find this photo online, and have added an arrow pointing at the pipe that has the hole in it.

its just generic 8mm/10mm fuel hose mate, youll get it at most motor factors by the metre... looooaaaaads cheaper to do that than get it from seat.

Take the pipe off cut a couple of inches off the end and measure the internal diameter of the freshly cut end... then buy the same diameter pipe...

EDIT: and just incase you cant be arsed to go to a motor factors, demon tweeks sell it but you got delivery to pay ontop of that unfortunately

Hi. A mate had picked up a generic fuel hose from halfords for me to try. I'd resisted using it as I'd been told that as the part it shaped, I'd need a dealer replacement! But looking at the shape, there's no severe bends or such so have just cut the halfords pipe and it seems to work. Took less than 5 min's.

Woo hoo!!!

NUMPTY?????? sorry mate, are you a mechanic??? its just i've seen it done in garages that i've worked in. and i was onli tryin to help the guy out.

...and unfortunately i am some what of a mechanic...
But fuel has to go through fuel specific lines, otherwise it degrades the rubber...

For the sake of a few pounds worth of fuel line id just buy that
