On a dutch Seat Forum there were a couple of instances of engine failure, which were pointing to an earlier revision fuel hose. When I bought the Leon Cupra in December last year, this was one of the first things I replaced. Luckily, after tapping some fuel, no rubber residue was found.

If your fuel hose consists of 2 pieces, its safe to say you have an earlier revision. Costs of the new hose are about 70-80 euro if I remember correctly
