Fuel System Cleaner

I recently started using shell V-Power and decided that i should use a fuel system cleaner to clean all the crap form the engine.

I bought some 'Redex'

Havnt used it yet cos need a full tank of petrol. Is this stuff any good and does it increase performance?

Shell V-power like shell optimax already has a cleaning agent within so there is no need to use it really.

it was just so tempting when reading description, they used big words and made it sound really cool!!! i had to buy it

i was told by a garage once that your enginer gets used to the redex and when you stop using it your engine doesnt run quite as well, he advised me to stay clear.

propbably a load of old pants but theres my 2 pence worth

Redex works. It's not a miracle cure, but it does no harm and it works.

I have used it on several high mileage petrol engines over the years - not continual use, just a tank or two every 20,000 miles or so.

thanx for advice, seen as you said it dunt damage engine i used sum last nite with a full tank of shell v-power. Car started this morning so i presume all is good!!!

ive used it in plenty of cars
duno if it does really do anything
but gives you some piece of mind
