You can easily go and cover the LED elements to show you difference

There is actually TPI from Seat to do this under warranty:
Transaction No.:*2037217/1
Release date:*06-Jun-2014

Technical product information 9415, 5F, FULL-LED headlight dipped beam misaligned in relation to the other headlight

Customer statement / workshop findings Customer statement: The dipped beam of the FULL-LED headlight is misaligned in relation to the other headlight (see Figure 1).

Will go to my nearest Seat leave them to sort it out for me. Not sure if this is covered under my extended warranty from JC6000. If not there is other step how to sort this out by yourself

This beam misaligned is due to insufficient tightening of the metal nut on the reflector, causing misalignment of the FULL-LED headlight

This bolts can be found behind cover marked on the picture

So hopefully this will help someone with it as this is just annoying for me.
Do not forgot after correction do the headlight alignment :)

Good post, always handy having stuff like this on here even if the cars are still under warranty :)
Saves getting fob off by the dealer with the " they are all like that sir"

Hope they were more careful with the tightening of rest of the nuts & bolts on these cars, you know like the wheel nuts, nuts holding the suspension on etc

So been spoke with boss as i feel very pissed off with solution so going there back with my printed version TPI to show them what need to be done.

Might be a daft suggestion but why have you not manually adjusted them ?

The levelling electronics just set the base position of the light.

With the lights switched on and the engine running so the electronics are holding the lights steady - you then manually adjust the lights to the correct position like any other car.

there isnt way to adjust single led element and this is the case. i can do beam level without issue. cant adjust every single bit as this beam is made from 6 separate led elements

It seams to me Seat don't want agree they have some issues and have to pay £860 for one head light to replace. Unfortunately for them i never give up. I have tpi who clearly clarify where the fault been made.

Is this a single led in the matrix which is out of alignment or a collection? I have a disassembled led unit from a pre face lift mk3 leon. Is this on the low beam?

Yes this is low beam and 3 led out of alignment. I know every single element got screw inside the light. Do you mind sharing some pictures inside the light?

What side of the car? As the unit I have is a RH. The top led furthest back is adjustable and the bottom leds nearest to the front are adjustable. But whether you can actually get to them with out dismantling the light unit is another thing. The 2 centre leds are fixed and not adjustable.

Here’s some images.

Thanks

As far as know there is plenty car affected with this issue some make sense SEAT won't be happy with so many car coming back and claiming this issue as this will cost company quite a lot money!!
Affected car from 2013 to end 2014?

Did I see that the LEDs are 18W units? Eg...Halogens are usually 55W, Xenons 35/25W units, and Seat's LEDs are 18W?

Yes you are correct 108W in total, but i think this led is not running under full power. To increase lifetime off LED.
