Gap on lower edge of windscreen collecting debris?

I don't know if this is usual but have a gap circa 5mm between the bottom of the windscreen and the seal, it seems to be collecting debris and wondered if my screen has been replaced or if this is common.

Thanks, my mechanic came to visit and he says it's an easy fix so will leave him to it
