Gauge pods

Ok I've had a search and I can see it has been brought up a few times , but not really found what I'm looking for. I have 2 ideas / questions.

Idea question 1- use a triple gauge holder on Front pillar . Can't for the love of me find one for the mk 1 . Found them in left hand drive !! Any one know where I can get one?

Idea question 2- I've found a universal dash mounted holder ( like what the rs focus / impreza has ) . What are your thoughts on this? Can I drill through the top of the dash and run tubes / wires through the vents?

Any feed back would be great. Just looking to treat the old girl . Have the 3 gauges - boost / oil temp/ oil pressure.

why not have a dual pod from nomad and have the nevpod ( i think its called) in the left vent

ive just got boost and oil temp myself

Or why not make your own to fit in the centre air vents position that will accommodate all 3 gauges

Yeah I've looked at that, but then though il'd be different. Liking the idea of using the rs/impreza dash mount. Haven't seen this on any Leon's yet. Just don't want to drill through the dash if it can't be done.

I was looking to do the same thing a while ago. i was going to pop the centre vents out and see how thick the dash was/check for any possible obstructions.

Never got round to it and just bought a nomad instead lol. I'd recommend pulling the centre vents out and having a look...........unless one of forum colleagues that has removed their dash before can advise?

Anything is possible if you've got the patience and yeah it would look unique in your Leon

can you not contact nomad and ask them for a one off triple

when i first bought one i thought of ordering a left hand drive version and a uk one to have 4 or two one side an a single the other

then thought f00k it just have boost and oil temp

Think ill take the vents out and have a butchers. Surely it can't be that hard. I've contacted normad and a very helpful chap didn't have a clue what I was on about!! How hard can it be to ask for a right hand drive , triple pilar mount.
