good day.

i have bought a mk3 cupra and im going to start a progress page.
the car is tatty in some places but i bought the car as a bit of a project so it will give me somthing to do.

the plans i have so far are:

fix window electrical problem
hybrid K03s turbo OR eliminator 2 (gt28rs)
in line fuel pump
new coilovers (********* ones are exstreamly stiff and have seased)
posible whole re-spray in porche gunmetal grey or white.

well we will only have to wait and see what the future holds for the car.

thanks mate. it looks much better. got a few bits and bobs to do to her tho.

i have a masive leak in the manifold. gasket i hope. i ordered a performance gasket from the dreded ebay which is suposed to last longer than the standard metal one.

i have a standard exhaust manifold on but there is a INA one i have my eye on for 130.

these manifolds are prone to cracking so is it worth my pends puting it on?

fixed my manifold today:

the gasket had blown away.

the new gasket is from ebay, it has tin front and back and grfite kind of stuff in the middle . this should stop some vibration I.E the bolts coming loose. idealy i need nord-lock washers.

also i removed the HID kit as the lights were just too blue. so the standard halogen ones are back in.

while my exhaust manifold was off i desided to port the exhaust as you could clearly see where the cyclinder head exhaust ports were larger than the manifold.



next thing to do is new boost pipes as the painted ones keep poping the boost hoses off in 5th gear and is very bad for the engines.

my plans for the car change every day, as you will know its all to do with how far you want to go and how much ££ you are willing to spend.

im going to be updating this soon with the things ive done and plans,

im in the prosses of buying another engine (lower milage) and IE rods,
as for turbo its going to either be K03s hybrid or take a deep breath and go for the new eliminator 2 kit.

as the car isnt my day to day car i dont mind having to do lots of fabrication to get thinks to fit / work properly,

my other car is a 97 a4 avant tdi, slammed with rs6 alloys, ill post a few pics up

i love the avant, got silver mirrors and silver roof rails now, kinda like a fake rs4 ha.

unfortunatly the cupra is off the road justnow as tax has just ran out but will be flying around by the summer. hybrid K03s is on the cards.
