I found a guide to it online and did it myself. Involves unclipping the gaitor from the centre console (very easy, just feel for the clips underneath the gaitor and squeeze) and then you have to remove the gear knob. Problem is to do so I had to remove a metal clip which holds the knob on, which got mangled in the process, so I had to buy a jubilee clip to use instead. Then you remove the gaitor and plastic retaining frame, swap the gaitors and put all back together.
