Was gunna say, OLD THREAD ALERT!

Started in 2005!

I only knew it must have been a old thread, as Grapo the orginal poster has owned a Seat since 2005!

Changing the gearknob is easy.

Feel through the gaiter to the part closest to the front of the centre console for two clips, pull them up. Next slide the gaitor and securing assembly backwards towards the handbrake to set it free then pull it up and over the gearknob. Pull the gearnob clip off with a pair of pliers (This clip can't be removed and reused) then move the gaitor back down and pull off the gearknob.

Securing the gaitor back onto a new gearknob can be fixed in the same way the old clip was, but can be done with a jubliee clip! :)

oops mine still looks crappy have a handbrake to match now thou thanks to Guinness but still havent got a new gaitor for the gear knob!
I think you can buy little metal extentions you put under the gear knob so theres no gap between the gaitor and knob need to get one, bit boring mod thouh I'd rather spend elsewhere!
