Gear panel removal anyone?

Hello

Recently found that 6 speed box of my 1,2 TSI is getting looser and looser and wondering if the rubber bushing or some bolts went loose.

However i can't manage to pop the panel and the whole knob + gaiter out of place

Anyone here knows how to get it out or do have any pictures to show me how can it be done?

I know on the mk2 its just the leather trim that clips off but havent had to do it in mk3 yet.
Try a trim tool on the back side of the leather as there are usually a few clips in the back. It should just lift off then.
If not, the plastic trim around the leather should clip off with a trim tool. One or the other pal

Tried but still can't quite get it,

the sides pop out quite easily but it seems like there are 2+ rigid points right in the middle that i can't get access to

I don't think taking the gaiter off will be any help. Maybe a loose selector? Does it drive fine? Gears ever get stuck?

Removing gaiter, there just clips pal. Should easily come off.. May need some force. I highly doubt theres screw holding it in place
