which gearboxes can i use on my 1.8 16v ADL lump?

my car wont go into 1st without a fight and it selects third most of the time

think the flywheel is 020

look on ebay, clubgti, edition 38 for 020 boxes (golf 16v i think)

You may not need a whole new 'box.

Read this topic http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=137396. You might find some help here. I had the same problem. Read my post to see how i fixed it. Admittadly it's very amateurish, but it did the job, although i think it depends what 'box you have. Let me know how you get on.

slightly off topic.... all these probs you've been having last few weeks do you still think it's a good idea to supercharge it or has that gone out of window?

i'm fixing it all before i charge it

once its fixed it'll be fine, better to fix it now rather than supercharge it and then everyting explode. just a lack of money atm in the supercharging department.
