Gearbox!

Hey guys think I have sourced a gearbox, just need someone to point me in the right direction. The gearbox I have found is from a 1996 APQ polo. APQ is my engine code also. But What I was wondering is that 1996 was when the ibiza became facelift and i know the transmission changed.

Did Polo also change the transmission in 1996? Or would this be the same gearbox as my 1999 apq.

Is there not a part number/code for the gearbox that you can check?

I would have guessed it was the same with the engine code being the same

I would only imagine it would be the same box. If its coming off a car which is an APQ it must fit mine which is also APQ
