Does anybody know if a 6 speed box from either a 1.9tdi 130 or a Tdi Cupra (or even a standard 20VT box) will fit a lesser 1.9tdi, with a non-PD engine?

I can't imagine it would be a good idea to fit one from a petrol - the ratios will be all over the place for the diesel.

Not too sure about a 130 box

The PD box will probably be mapped and set up differently to the non-PD engine - I woulnd't be convinced that the cost and hassle would be worth it.

I could be wrong.
