Hi All

I currently run a MK3 golf with german plates, as its a VW thing

however I dont see any Seats running any german number plates

I know Seats are supposed to be spanish, but they are a VW through and through

I think the german plates look very smart, so who is running them on here, and if not why not:D

like you say, the 'D' plates are mainly a DUB thing ..

well when i pick up the leon in a week, once of the first things i will do is to fit a set of german number plates, as i think they look rather smart

agreed fella I do kinda like them , in fact theres a rather nice Bimmer M3 just up the way from me that has them.... :)
If i was going down the 'euro' road with my biza I would deffo be getting some..

yeah i love the euro look, and its what i am going for with the Leon for sure

hope to certainly be entering some show and shines with it

I`ve got german plates on my mk1 leon cupra,I think they look the dogs nuts.I just wish i`d bought the seat surround as well from dubmeister. When I upgrade my alloys I`ll post some pics.

i've also got spanish banded rear plate from dubmeister, couldn't see the point in getting the german one as it's not a german car.

This may sound a stupid question, but arent the plates illegal? Its just that the cops round my area are cracking down on 2 things at the moment, window tints and dodgy number plates so dont want to get pulled over for them

Thanks

yeh they are illegal, but don't look as illegal as some of the other plates, like the ones with italic lettering, ghosting etc. i've had police cars sat behind me at the lights and never had any problems. touch wood.

anyone who thinks Seat is a Spanish car is mistaken IMO.....every part under the bonnet and throughout the car has VW stamps on it

Seat is VW through and through, hence i think german plates suit the car, and they also look the nuts as well

i know it's all basically a s3 / golf underpinnings but the cars brand is spanish. it's just like someone putting an s3 badge on the back of there lcr lol. i wouldn't do it but i'm sure there are some people out there who would.

don't really matter anyway, i'm happy with the spanish banding on my plate, others will be happy with the german banding.

I think we all know that, but it's a spanish brand, that's why the E is favoured over the D.

IMO they look best with no band at all.
