Hi All,

Firstly, sorry to post another thread about rattles! And i seem to think someone may have commented on this issue before but i'm afraid i cant find it now. I have noticed that when the passenger side rear window is fully closed it rattles, and i wonder if anyone has any bright ideas about stopping this (other than opening the window!). I'm 99% sure it is the glass rattling in the housing/against the seal, as the noise stops if i just move the window down by the tiniest amount so it no longer rests against the seal, but obviously i dont want to keep it like this due to potential water ingress.

I think i recall someone mentioning something about silicone spray??

Any help very much appreciated as always!

Clean all th door rubber seals with some APC or window cleaner, the kind with vinegar in it, this will take multiple attempts to get completely clean, rubber holds onto the dirt very well! Then grab your rubber lube or dressing and coat them all!

I've never recommended using silicone spray up untill the Leon, everything I would normally use that's better for the rubber just didn't cure it, so as a last resort I tried some and it worked perfectly!

However beware, silicone spray will eventually replace all the rubbers natural oils so you will have to wipe them over with silicone in a regular basis, I do mine as part of my weekly clean, keeps them silent!
