Driver window switch failure

The driver window switch will not auto down. I can get the window to go down by holding. Auto up is fine. The switch does feel loose and does not double click.

How simple is this to fix, or is it easier to replace the entire unit? Fitted price for a genuine part is about £250....

Seriously?

Is this a common issue? I was cleaning SWMBO's car at the weekend and noticed that hers is doing exactly the same as yours; although the switch feels OK.
I thought it just needed the window reset trick, but that failed to sort it. 2018 Leon ST.

Can get new window switches for far cheaper than that on eBay or other places.. I got this one for about £10 (note - white backlights whereas your original may be red)..

In terms of replacing it, it's not too difficult but you have to take the doorcard off - sometimes this is a bit tricky and you may need a pack of replacement trim clips as some can snap when prising the doorcard off. Again, should be less than £10 for some of those.
