As you can see from the pictures my glove box wont close properly.

Looking at the latches the left hand one seems to stick out far more than the right hand one

I've tried pulling it with some pliers with no success. Anyone got any other ideas?

I‘d hazard a guess that something has either become detached or the latching mechanism has broken inside the glovebox lid.

If it’s not possible to dismantle the glovebox lid to get at the mechanism inside to see if a repair’s possible, then the fix is likely to be a replacement glovebox lid. If the lid isn’t available as a separate part then (costly?) replacement of the complete glovebox is probably necessary 😲; if so, then maybe a replacement could be sourced from a breakers yard?

SRGTD is correct, and releasing the door is a proper biatch of a job.

If you are brave, 🤔 Maybe some surgical investigations with a Dremell tool from the inside might be in order..?
