Mmmm I didn't realise we get overlooked in that way really. I wouldn't take any notice mate, its your pride and joy and just laugh when you overtake most of the golf boys lol. People don't realise what these cars are capable of either!! Shame because people should appreciate the fact you have spent a lot of money on your car and any car enthusiasts should know this, but theres always some that don't which is wrong ![[:@]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/furious.gif "Furious [:@]")
As others have said, don't get downbeat mate, it's just how SEAT's get treated at 99% of shows unfortunately.
VAG snobbery is rife but as long as you enjoy your car then I wouldn't give two stuffs about what others think.
After 3 years with my current Leon, I just enjoy it now and don't give a monkeys what anyone else thinks. Best way to be, otherwise you'll always be disappointed.

Friend of mine has 3.2vr6 engine in his s3, car is clean and the engine install looks factory fit. We went to Elsecar show and he entered the show and shine, on his mark sheet under 'engine' he got 0, as though it was standard.
These people judging at car shows only know, and only want to see the 'scene' thing, anything else that doesnt stand out and say BAGGED, SMOOTHED, TUCKED or completely stupid is ignored.
Just laugh at their incompetence, theyre sheep that want all cars to be the same, and the most extreme (stupid) of those are the ones that win or get recognised.

Just think it's a real shame that these cars don't get the credit they deserve,I've been in a couple of modded VW Golf GTI's lately and their performance isn't anywhere near to what i'm driving.
I really enjoy owning my car and get a real kick out of embarrassing people in more expensive cars,So yeah i'm now gonna keep a bit of a low profile when it comes to the show scene as i think the judging is a joke ! and carry on modding it and maintaining it the best i can.
Would be good if there was a big meet arranged with other members from here as i would be well up for it as i would love to see your cars ???
Anyway gave it a quick wash this morning and looking forward to getting it in the garage this coming week so i can get back to doing what these cars do best,

Looks so so good this car, absolutely squatted down to the road, really looks like it's hugging the road with menacing purpose!

Cheers mate,Must admit when i get comments like that it really does fuel my enthusiasm for the car as i had fallen a little bit out of love with it a due to the comments on the show scene.
Hope you can work a way around to keeping your car as since i came across it i have enjoyed following the work and progress you've made with it,

I might keep mine yet dude, need to meet up one day as I want to see your car! Suppose I at least need to get to Players in September if you are thinking of making that one.

Wow surprised to hear that mate don't be put down by the judges they obviously didn't have a clue! Hope you get your creak sorted mate i've still got one and it really annoys me. Don't think my LCR will be with me much longer got my eye on a diesel fr at the moment need something a bit cheaper!

Yeah mate unfortunately it has to go
Really don't want to get rid of it but change of circumstances so need something a bit cheaper. On the other hand still stuck with Seat and got an fr so once it's been tidied up may be up for some shows

Well my car went into the garage today and had the oil and filter changed,Then had the dreaded call that there's a problem with it (love those lol ! )
As i said there was a creaking sound coming from the front which turned out to be the bush which sits at the top of the passenger side suspension strut,not much of a problem but then also the news that the drivers side front shock is knackered because it's leaking is not so good !!
As it's a coilover it does cause a bit more of a problem as they're a little harder to get hold off !,so ive been onto a few suppliers of Weitec's and am waiting for some prices to come back to me,
