Can't believe that off all the cars there i parked next to someone from the same town as me !!,He owned a black MK1 VW Golf GTI which was absolutley mint,It's kept hidden away which explained why ive never seen it,Also a real nice bloke.

Haha,Yeah coz i was the only MK1 LCR on the show and shine,
Will have to meet up for another show mate,although maybe leave a bit later next time and hopefully it won't be as hot !

Thanks mate,Well i would love to get the front bumper and bonnet re-painted but i'm short on cash at the moment,I will be looking do do that over the winter months now ready for next year.
So for now i'm just gonna attend as many shows/meets as i can this summer as i'm really enjoying owning the car and the attention it's been getting

Painting the front end up makes such a difference, expensive but worth it! Don't blame you there though, you have done all the main things just enjoy driving it I need to see this at Players btw??

Hey mate,Yeah really wanna get the front end done as although it looks good in the pictures it does have quite a few stone chips which i think let the car down a lot,
I'm making plans to be at Players,
My mate who owns this Mk3 VR6 is going


It's a well known car on the show scene,I'm gonna join him for the drive there,I'm also gonna see if a couple of members from here are up for joining us,Would be good to see a few other members cars from here.

Well after GTI Inters ive gotta admit i came away feeling a bit down hearted after over hearing the judges saying that my car had been lowered and that was pretty much it ! (dont think they had a clue or looked under the bonnet or the overall condition of the car and what had been put into it !! ) So gotta admit i fell out of love with it and the show scene for a couple of weeks,
But after finishing work today i went for a good old blast in it and realised they didn't know what they were on about !!
So got it booked in next week at my local garage as ive broken one of the engine mounts!
and also there's a creaking sound coming from the drivers side front strut which their gonna look at,Also gonna get the the oil and filter changed too
Think i'm gonna stay away from the show scene for a while though as after talking to a few people as well i realised that there are too many people ready to criticise what you have but you don't get to see what they are driving,Shame really.....

Wow surprised to hear that mate don't be put down by the judges they obviously didn't have a clue! Hope you get your creak sorted mate i've still got one and it really annoys me . Don't think my LCR will be with me much longer got my eye on a diesel fr at the moment need something a bit cheaper!

I've got to be careful how I write this so I dont sound bitter but basically I've not been to 1 VAG show that has shown any interest to SEAT's when it comes to awards. I normally spend all of the day before a show prepping mine and then a good few hours at the show again making sure my car is as good as it can be and to date I've never had any recognition for it, it said to say that unless you've got a VW especially a mk4 you just get over looked.
Just dont let it get you down mate, mod the car in a way that makes you happy and enjoy it, sod the "scene"
