Golf engine in Leon

Hi all just a quick one, been having lots if engine trouble with my Leon (1.4) which will cost more to repair than an engine swap, so my question is will a 1.6 mk4 golf engine drop in? What will need t be changed of it doesn't? Any help appreciated as I can't find any threads relating. Thanks I'm advance

Wiring loom, ecu, posiblly clocks (speedometer) , key chip and engine of course, it really depends on what you would be droping in there, other things would be fuel pump brakes intercooler. On the majority of vag cars the ecu clocks and key chip are mated i think maybe for anti theft, theres a software called vag tacho which people use to mate and recode the eprom an stuff as such tho but havent had the chance to mess about with that stuff yet tho.
