Dealer told me VAG has a habbit of overprizing some parts they don't want to see on cars they wheren't intended for.... (and selling more retainers than cars they are delivered with is a good indication).
People that can afford an R20 or Scirocco R don't care since they allready have them and won't notice if they have to ecchange one. Other carowners with brakes these fit on will have to live with the steep price..... (70 pounds for two pieces of steel with some paint can be called robbery).
