I've been trading emails back and forth with Colin from there and they seem a very proffessional and knowledgeable company.

I haven't as of yet gone ahead with the remap, but I'm pretty sure I'll be going with them. One of the main things that appealed to me was they'll come to your workplace/house and do the remap there. 14 day money back guarantee too, and from a few weeks of research I've heardly mostly positive reports about them.

There was one guy I came across was having boost problems, but from what I gathered he called back and they corrected the settings for free and was happy sailing for him from then on.

Because they over boost everything. One fellow SCNer needed a new head and DSG module after they had finished their wonders. Ill be getting my custom remap by OBD soon as Revo map is getting boring now :p

out of a standard remap it pulled 210 - 365lb-ft ..... really wasnt worth it !

Ive had nothing but good experiences with torque tronix, had their remaps and also millteks fitted there. The whole set up looks a little amateur compared to other places ill admit, as the premises are at his house, but the equipments great- dyno dynamics rr etc. And looking at the cars he maps- theres always a lot of comming and going when ive been there- mainly vw's, bmw's and audi's which arent exactly cheap he seems to get good enough reviews for people to keep bringing him their new cars. He also did a friend of a firends new porsche 911 turbo and i've heard nothing but good feedback about that too. Obviously some of yous have had a bad experience, and maybe that is to do with poor mapping, im not arguing at all by the way as i know nothing about mapping, i just turn up and get it done, but im just stating that ive never had a problem from their work

Ive had my TT map on for around a year now, 2.0 PD 140 putting out 192hp and 322lb ft, cant say ive had any problems, to be honest, I think he isnt scared to map to the limits, which probably means if you use the power alot then it prob will go bang! Im hoping to get a Hybrid turbo now anyway so Im happy enough to go back to them, hopefully can do me a nice package for Milltek as well!

i know this for a fact. torque tronix do only the best work in all they do. i would recommend anyone to go to them to get mapping done. there are alot of amatures out there who wreak more cars than enough with crap maps from crap tuning companys. i have heard and seen more cars from auto tune with big problems than anywere else. they are the place to go if you want your car wrecked. at the end of the day if a customer wants a car taken to the limits that is what they get. so you cant blame the tuner if it all goes tits up.

Everyone has something to say about someone, everyone told me that the figures I was getting on the TT RR were wrong, and they turned out to be the same at another companies RR day!
Also, TT asked me when I got there what I wanted from the map and then spent time tweaking it on the RR to suit, its a little smokey on full throttle, but I expected that as I asked for a little more poke.. so it was my choice.

I have to say, ive only had one car remapped, my current toledo, and I got it done at auto tune in ballymena, i went to them because one of the cars passing through our garage had been remaped there and the owner was happy so i went to them, they were helpfull and friendly, had the car in and tuned and out, runs on the dyno and everything in an hour including a test run out, i was pretty impressed, more impressed with the results than anything, 110 on first dyno, 141 after remap. they took into account the decat and filter and tweaked to suit. and they answered all my questions about stage 2 on the car, if and when i plan to go ahead with it. £180 was also substantialy cheaper than others.

Came home, went out to work and 5 hours later went out and the car drive for about a minite then piles of smoke and revs and mess. called out the recovery lorry, waiting for it i started her up again and she was fine, however put her on the lorry and went home, phoned them in the morning as it was more than a coincidence that my perfectly reliable car went pop 7 hours after theyre remap. turns out the fuzzy logic used in the ECU was still using the "old map" and not the remap data, so it shat itself and didnt know waht to do, i can understand this, its ****, but it happens, it was a 1/1000 chance it was going to happen, unfortunatly it did, this happend once and hasnt happend since the car has settled

basically Im saying that I am happy with auto tune and id reccomend them to anyone, this was my experiance with them and regardless of a fluke **** up on the cars part, they were prefect
