OK so this is a sad day!
not only am i stupidly attached to my car...but she sold last night on Ebay!!

Wednesday she will be going to a new owner....i am sure it will be a loving home...:)

The SCN stickers are still in the back windows and SCN advertised on the number plates.....I will plug the site when they pick her up......so you may have a new friend on here.......
I will still be hanging around.....seeing whats going on.....and will let you know what i get next.....still deciding between those two VW/Audi grp models..........:)

It is but such is the value of Toledo's these days. The new owners have got themselves a car with very tastefully done extras, but sadly such things don't tend to ad value at resale. Be good if the new owners join up.

Did you settle on a replacement Sam?

Mine was an early tolly....
early 1999 according to glass's A1 is is only worth 1800 with the average 70k miles.....mine has nearly 97k

As said above, its just about all they are worth....the extras you put on dont add anything to the car...in fact in some situations de value it....it means an increase in insurance for a lot of people when/if they declare the mods. The market tends to be a bit fickle...the boy racers tend to grow out of it and a 1.8 20v petrol isnt going to be cheap for a young boy racer to insure.....

I have never had a new car and always tend to buy around 5 yrs old and keep til 9 or 10......by that time i have spent lots on it but it isnt worth anything...good job i love doing it as a hobby or seriously it is a waste of money! there is no getting away from the fact she isnt a young beast anymore...she is in fab nick, but still she is aging.....
it is a give away but unfortunately as is the case it is worth more to you than sold....i had a few years of pleasure out of here and as the exchange rate is excellent for Dirhams at the mo....i would say i havent lost out too badly!

I havent decided on a replacement as i am moving to Dubai first, but the decision for a new car will be made when my other half joins me early next year....i guess we will be having the same heated discussion...EOS or LC...

Next to go will be a blue 1998 Honda Hornet 600 with R&Gs, blue renthals and Hornet Harri grips....anyone know anybody who may be interested?
