Isn't personal taste a strange thing, 'spose its a good job we're not all the same!
I can't say I'm overwhelmed by the 550 wheels although I prefer them to the 17" kerb-catchers, the seats are a definite improvement and USB has to be better than an aux socket and all for roughly the same money. I've got one coming with Bluetooth but thats about the only other factory option available and they're rarer than hen's teeth.
My new Cupra demo (Bluetooth, sunroof, convenience and of course the Bi-xenons) has just arrived on site after a horrendous wait, (y'see, even
dealers get build delay problems, its not just customers) its in the bodyshop having side skirts and rear spoiler fitted which to me is as far as I'd possibly want to go with styling, I really like the fact that it looks like a Cupra.
Although I suppose I can see the perverse enjoyment of blowing away someone at the lights and them not knowing what it is thats just blown them away, I wouldn't dream in a million years of trying to make it look like the 2007 1.6 8valve Special Edition or the 2006 2.0 Tdi Reference Sport 140BHP Special Edition both of which had the BTCC/Aero/
K1 bodystyling as standard. Fake brake ducts just ain't my thing and that little central exhaust that stands an inch or two out from the bumper is just too Harry Moss for me.
I know some of this post may not sound like the usual
dealer's sales pitch but thats because its not. I tell it how I see it because I see no reason not to, we've been SEAT
dealers for 21 years, we've all seen the salesmen and
dealers who kiss your butt for a year or two, tell you everything you want to hear then suddenly switch to selling Kia or Proton and leave you high and dry.
