I found the one on the LCR the other day when changing plates. Can't be nothing that important as the plate covers it. I wonder if it's a place for something to hold/mount them when they're being primed/sprayed at the factory?.

Wouldn't it be just great if you could stick a little gizmo in that hole so that when you floor it your engine makes a sort of whistling/wooshy really "impressive" I've got a fast car sort of sound. Now what would you call such a thing ???? ........................................

part of the manufacturing process. put in a place that doesnt matter as you will cover it by the plate.

I'd go with the idea that its used during the paint process as a locating hole for holding the bumper in place whilst it is sprayed.I'll ask the paint shop at work tomorrow.....
