Hi Boys and Girls

Just a quick one really, I have just received my green panel filter thanks to Bill from Badger 5, just wondering if there is anything specific that I have to do to change it from the original one or if its just a case of swapping it over..??

Cheers Pacey

Thanks fella, do you still need to spray it if it is a brand new filter?? as don’t have the spray stuff? Can i put it in and spray it at the weekend or will it cause problems??

You should use it with the oil for it to work properly. Debris with stick to it.

I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for a few days, but it was designed to be used with that product so if it were me I'd wait a few days until the oil arrives. Just don't go overboard when applying it - damp only.

Also advice on cleaning. When you get the cleaner it'll be in a bottle. Find a pump action bottle for it otherwise alot of the cleaner gets wasted unecessarily. You're supposed to clean it every six months or so.

haha cheers. I did wonder! It said something about remapping the new one in? I did wonder? But that may be because I have a new Miltek cat back system?

Check with Bill if in any doubt about the oil (just incase they've changed).

Mine's black rubber outer with the green filter in the middle. The filter is also covered with a gauze too. I assume the gauze is made from metal as it will bend and the whole unit feels quite heavy for an air filter. Sounds familiar?

Green filters are preoiled as stated above, no need to oil before you install:clap:

Simple to install, did mine on Thursday, a few leaves to remove while i was there;)

I would not drill the box if I were you.
far better to remove the snorkel and replace with 20 inches of 90mm flexible ducting, costing about £20. Makes much more difference than drilling the box!
