Green Filters

About to order a Green Panel Filter for my FR but just throughly confused my self looking at there website. FIrstly the price difference between a filter for a Ibiza TDI PD160 & a Fabia TDI PD130 for what is apparently the same filter part number a P950337. Then Secondly the apparent size difference all the dimensions are the same bar the dimension D4 which on the PD 160 is apparently 121 opposed to 130 on on the PD 130. Then there is the price difference £35.25 for the PD 130 vs £41.71 for the PD 160

Now the easy answer is go an measure mine you say....

My dimensions are the same bar D2 which = 205 & D4 which =125

anyone...........

I cleaned mine a few weeks ago. I just hoovered it to get rid of the loose dirt (loads of wasps n bugs!) and then washed it in warm water. It should be cleaned every service, but it won't hurt to do it as often as you can.

I don't think Green filters need to be oiled. I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong..

5k in over a year!?!

Bloody hell - I do that in 2.5 months!

Surely it's not cost effective to be running the diesel with that sort of mileage?

Well will be a year in January so not yet but that's cos I now work down the road I used to drive up the motorway everyday until I got a job down the road. Dunno if that mileage is right that's what it seems to be if I look at the mileage from my last service. I live in the middle on nowhere so have to drive even short distances alot.

You can get the cleaning kits+oil from the green filters web site. I cleaned mine after 6 months or so and loads of black dirt and flies came out. I didn't notice a difference when driving the car tho.

because of the higher compression ratio a diesel engine sucks much more than a petrol. It's filter will dirty up quicker as a result. It also blows harder through the exhaust too

Mine was in my diesel Cupra for a few thousand miles before I saw sense and got a petrol, so that probably accounts for most of the dirt ;) There was a lot....the water in the sink literally turned black.
