Had a quick look and it appears ok. Had a look at cv gaitor and droplinks too and they look ok aswell

I was have said cv gaitor, so I'm not sure. It's definitely not split?

Not from what I could see with a torch. Not 100% sure till I can get under the car but had them go on my Lcr so know what too look for - oily rubber, cracks etc.

i hear a noise when i'm on full lock as well and has done it from the start.
It's almost as if you can hear the power steering :-S

Ok it's still doing the grinding/ whirring noise on full lock and I can't figure it out. It didn't do it when I bought the car so I know it's not supposed to make that noise. Any further ideas?

Had a mk1 Octavia VRS that did something similar(ish). Tracked down to a failed exhaust bracket, which allowed the exhaust to touch the chassis under certain conditions (full lock cornering), which made a pretty horrible 'grumbling' noise. Not saying this is the problem in your case, but it might be worth checking how much play is in your exhaust.

Mine has done this from new, mine has 18's and they slightly rub the arch lining plastic on full lock, my old mk1 LCR did more of a grind and that turned out to be anti roll bar
